Richard Nash to be KeyNote Speaker at 2011 Conference for Law School Computing

Richard Nash is an entrepreneur and innovative thinker in publishing, ebooks and a perfect choice as Keynote Speaker for the 21st CALI Conference. The theme of this year's conference is “UNBOUND” and Richard's experiences and activities in publishing guarantee that he will stimulate and inspire the attendees. I learned of Richard primarily through Twitter (@r_nash) where he has over 75,000 followers. Here is his bio from his website...

Richard Nash is an independent publishing entrepreneur, presently launching Cursor, a start-up portfolio of publishing communities the first of which, Red Lemonade, will launch in early 2011. For most of the past decade, he ran the iconic indie Soft Skull Press for which work he was awarded the Association of American Publishers’ Miriam Bass Award for Creativity in Independent Publishing in 2005. .”

Richard will be speaking on Friday, June 24 at 9am and will be interviewed for the Law School Tech Talk at 10:30am by Pepperdine's David Dickens.

The conference will open on Thursday, June 23 with an Ignite Plenary of 10 speakers from the law school community, each speaking for 5 minutes. A panel of specially invited Tweeters will follow each talk with a single, summarizing tweet. 10 speakers, 5 minutes, 140 characters, something for everyone.

There is still time to register at http://conference.cali.org/2011/.
