Non-US Law Schools: Why and How Should We Join CALI?
CALI offers deeply discounted annual dues of $250 (US) to non-US law schools. Non-US law schools enjoy virtually the same benefits of US law schools through CALI for a fraction of the dues.
To join CALI, just use this form or contact LaVonne Molde, Director of Membership Services: 612-627-4908, lvmolde@cali.org.
We can offer your organization this dues discount because 1) we are a non-profit organization, 2) nearly every US law school is a member of our consortium, and 3) even though organizations like yours are an important part of the legal education community, we believe non-US Law Schools are underrepresented in the CALI community.
This is what your school gets with a CALI membership:
CALI Lessons:
Your students, staff, and faculty get unlimited access to lessons to CALI lessons for simply $250/year. No matter how many students you have, they all get CALI lessons for free when your school joins.
Non-US Law Schools who provide as little as one course on US law will find that CALI Lessons are the perfect, inexpensive supplement written by law professors.
Access to this much US law professor-authored material for the cost of a few casebooks is one of the best investments your school will make. Find out more about CALI Lessons.
CALI Author:
Faculty and staff can use CALI Author, the powerful software we use to create CALI Lessons, to author their own lessons and edit current ones. CALI Author's interface has been internationalized so that its menus and buttons are adjustable into English, French, German, Italian, Nederlands and Spanish. Find out more about CALI Author here.
CALI Conference Discount:
Anyone at your organization can attend The Conference for Law School Computing® at a discount and learn about technology and innovation in American education. Click to see the CALI Conference website.
Medianotes:
Member organizations can get free licenses for MediaNotes video-tagging software. Learn more about MediaNotes.
Classcaster®:
Our blogging and podcasting network allows faculty and staff to create free course blogs and even post class lectures. It is completely free for member schools. More on ClassCaster®.
CALI's Innovations:
New CALI tools like InstaPoll integrate technology into the classroom in easy-to-use and practical ways. And beta projects such as eLangdell (the logo above) and the Legal Education Commons represent the type of projects CALI will continue to undertake: forward-thinking endeavors designed to improve legal education in dramatic ways.
As a member of CALI, you not only can access these exciting projects as they are unveiled, but you support their implementation and continued growth.
If you have questions, please contact LaVonne Molde, CALI Director of Membership Services: 612-627-4908, lvmolde@cali.org. To join, just fill out this form and mail or fax it to LaVonne.
