Suzanne Thorpe is recognized for her expertise in the areas of legal research and library administration. She oversees all public and faculty services offered by the University of Minnesota Law Library. In addition to providing legal research instruction, she has taught Introduction to American Law at Uppsala University in Sweden, as part of a faculty exchange. She is also responsible for collecting Scandinavian legal materials for the Law Library. Thorpe was appointed the inaugural Caroline Brede Scholar for 1999-2001. She holds B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a J.D. from the University of Minnesota.
