New Jersey Legal Research: Secondary Resources

This lesson is intended to supplement the CALI lesson on New Jersey primary sources and serve as an introduction to some of the secondary resources available in New Jersey law. The topics covered include the online and print format of treatises, practice guides, and periodicals.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of the lesson, the student will be able to:
1. List New Jersey secondary sources available, such as treatises and legal periodicals.
2. Explain how to find secondary sources for any New Jersey issue.
3. Differentiate the benefits and limitations of various secondary sources covering New Jersey law.
4. Explain how to navigate through different secondary sources.
