Wayne Schiess

Wayne Schiess teaches legal writing, legal drafting, and plain English, and he is a frequent and favorite seminar speaker on those subjects. He has published more than a dozen articles on practical legal-writing skills, plus two books: Writing for the Legal Audience and Better Legal Writing. He is also an associate editor for the Scribes Journal of Legal Writing. He graduated from Cornell Law School, practiced law for three years at the Texas firm of Baker Botts, and later joined the faculty at the University of Texas School of Law.
